Getting Started
To download courses onto your Golf Guru you will need to register, select your courses, download and install the Guru Utility, and then run the Guru Utility while your Golf Guru is connected to your computer via a USB cable.
Step 1: Register your Golf Guru and Create a Membership
Click the button on the left to register your Golf Guru and create a Membership
Step 2: Select Courses
Click the button on the left to select the courses you would like to download to your Golf Guru.
Step 3: Download and run the Setup Wizard for the Guru Utility
Click the button on the left to for detailed instructions on how to download and run the Setup Wizard which will install the Guru Utility on your computer
Otherwise click the button on the left if you are familiar with how to download and install programs on your computer.
Step 4: Run the Guru Utility
Click the Guru Utility shortcut located on your desktop.
If you do not see a shortcut on you desktop then you have not installed the Guru Utilty and you should go back to Step 3.
If a ‘Windows Security Alert’ screen comes up you must press the ‘Unblock’button. If you do not press ‘Unblock’ then the Guru Utility will not be allowed to access the www.gpsgolfguru.com website.

Step 3: Connect your Golf Guru to your computer using the USB cable provided.
The large end of the USB cable plugs into your computer. The small end of the USB cable plugs into the bottom right side of your Golf Guru.

Step 4: Verify Guru Utility is connected to the web and the Golf Guru
The Guru Utility is connected to the Golf Guru when there is a check mark next to “Connected to Guru unit”. If there is no checkmark make sure that your Golf Guru is connected to your computer using the USB cable.
The Guru Utility is connected to the Golf Guru when there is a check mark next to “Connected to Web server”.
Step 5: Download Courses and Upgrade your Golf Guru software
Press the Download Courses button on the Guru Utility to download the courses you have selected onto your Golf Guru
Mapping your Own Courses
With your Guru you can map your own course. You do not have to register if you would like to map your own course.
