GPS Golf Guru Member Affiliate Program

The GPS Golf Guru Member Affiliate Program (MAP) is a program in which current Guru owners, who don't generally own a website, can sign up for a Member Affiliate account. Member Affiliates refer potential new Guru Users to the Golf Guru website and receive at least 5% commission on the total purchase price. Commissions are tracked in a Guru Member Affiliate account on the Golf Guru website. In addition, you will also be able to provide a discount code to the potential new buyer that provides them with a 5% discount off their total merchandise purchase from the website. After a Member Affiliate earns $80 in commissions, they are promoted automatically to Senior Member Affiliate status earning 8% commissions on all referrals.

A significant portion of Golf Guru sales come from current owners recommending or demonstrating the Golf Guru. We would like to reward current Guru owners for these sales. Please follow the steps below to set up an Affiliate account, and start benefitting today from sending new Golf Guru buyers to our website to purchase the best handheld GPS Golf rangefinder in the market.

We will also be introducing the Web Member Affiliate Program in the next couple of weeks. We are looking at the need and viability of adding a Local Member Affiliate to the Member Affiliate Program. This program will be designed to provide a more significant revenue opportunity to Affiliate Members that want to put a bit more time into helping the Guru Team grow our sales. This Program will involve no financial risk or outlay for the Member, but there will be hurdles required to enter the program. One of these hurdles will be membership in the Affiliate program and a minimum of five referrals. More details on the Local Guru Program will be announced soon.

Steps for Affiliate Account Sign Up:

Go to affiliate sign up page at http://www.gpsgolfguru.com/affiliate/signup.php
Enter your information in the sign up form. Use GPS Golf Guru for the company name, and http://www.gpsgolfguru.com for the website address. If you have your own company and/or website address, you may use those instead.
After all information has been entered, click the “Create My Account” button at the bottom of the page. This completes the sign up process.
You will receive a sign up confirmation email stating that once your account has been approved, you will be able to retrieve your linking code, as well as checking your sales and traffic stats.
Once you have received the email notifying you that your account has been approved, you may login by going to http://www.gpsgolfguru.com/affiliate/login.php . A discount code will already have been generated for you and can be found in your account control panel under the section "Notes from the Administrator".

Process for Notifying Customer and Getting Credit for a Golf Guru Affiliate Sale:

NEW! You may now have your referred customer directly enter your referral code into the Member Referral Code box on the store home page as seen below. Have them enter your code and click the submit button. This will track your sale and commission.

You can send an email to any potential Golf Guru customer. This email should contain your personal account id link. This link is in the following format: http://www.gpsgolfguru.com/YourID.html (substitute your actual account id for the “YourID”). This link can be found when you login to your affiliate account. It is in the top right hand corner of the page under the “Standard Linking Code – Great for Use in Emails”. Copy and paste this code into your email.
You can also send pre-formatted emails directly from your affiliate account. Click on the “Email Friends and Associates” menu link on the left side of the page. This email can be edited, and will contain your account id linking code automatically.
Whether sending email from your personal email account, or through the affiliate program, you will need to include your discount code with the email in order for the customer to receive their 5% discount. Your discount code can be found in your affiliate account control panel under "Notes from the Administrator". Your discount code is the same as your affiliate id referral code. The customer should enter this code into the Coupon Code box found during the checkout process. See the coupon box found at checkout below:

You will receive credit for any sale where a customer enters the website by clicking on your link in the email you sent out. Your affiliate account will be updated in real time to reflect any sale generated in this manner.
If you own a website, you can also paste your link on a page in your website. You will receive credit for purchases from customers who use your website link to purchase a Golf Guru or Golf Guru merchandise.

Payment Program:

Your account will be credited commission on the total sale (not including shipping or taxes), for each customer that uses your link to make a purchase on the GPS Golf Guru website.
All purchases completed in the manner described above are posted to your affiliate account as soon as the customer has completed their checkout process. Initially, this commission will show with a status of “Pending”.
All sales commissions posted to your account will have a status of “Pending” for a period of 30 days. This holding period is the length of the Golf Guru money back guarantee policy, which is currently 30 days from the purchase date.
Once the 30 day holding period has passed, your commission “Pending” status will be changed to “Approved”.
You will be notified of any customer returns associated with a purchase for which you received a pending commission. A pending commission for which there is an eventual customer return under the 30 day money back guarantee policy will be ineligible for payout. The pending commission will be declined and not factor in to an eventual payment.
Your account must accumulate at least $20.00 in commissions before a payment will be made. Payments will be made by check on the 15th of each month. Commissions are approved on a calendar month basis. Because of the 30 day waiting period prior to approval, check payments will reflect the commissions generated two months earlier than the check issue month. As an example, if a check is issued in May, it would include commissions on sales that occurred in March.
